After graduation from the UVic School of Music in Viola performance, Alexis spent several years in the Kootenays, creating a studio of string students and playing in the Symphony of the Kootenays.  

In 2012, Alexis returned to Victoria and to her former music teaching position at the Sunrise Waldorf School in Cowichan Station.   She is also the viola section leader in Yariv Aloni’s Victoria Chamber Orchestra.  Her husband Eric is a sound engineer for movies and television and kept busy with gigs in Vancouver and on the Island.  Their 6 year old daughter Cadence is at the Sunrise Waldorf School and the “apple” of their grandparent’s eyes.

In 2023, they purchased 2 acres at Cowichan Station.  It has a 2 bedroom house and they have added a studio and a shop building with future plans for an extended house.
